Nuria, 12, Fabio 9, and their mother Amparo arrive on a small island in the middle of the Amazon, on the border of Brazil, Colombia and Peru. They have fled the Colombian armed conflict in which their father disappeared. One day, he reappears in their new house. The family discovers that the island is inhabited by ghosts.

Los Silencios is her second feature film. She has also made a documentary, currently in post-production, and co-written the screenplay for La Contadora de Películas, a film by Walter Salles. |
