During the Korean War, Captains Hawkeye Pierce and Duke Forest are posted in the mobile military hospital. As soon as they arrive, the young surgeons begin breaking the rules, preferring women and alcohol to orders and military hierarchy. Despite provoking their superiors and making fun of their comrades, who they find too serious, they nevertheless prove themselves to be highly competent.
